A Crisis Made in Oakland

Where promises are broken, like keeping libraries open 7 days a week.

City departments like our Libraries withstood closures and staff cuts during the recession, but now our communities deserve these spaces to be fully funded and open seven days a week. As the Oakland real estate market booms and million-dollar developments are going up on every corner, our City must invest in the workforce and departments that fought to survive and serve our communities during our City’s hardest economic years.
